Enable Language for Front end

You have the option of having the site up and running in english while you work on translations and switching on the translation when you are ready for visitors to view the website in french as well.  Do so by using the following theme settings option. ( Instructions for adding content in french is further down on this page.)

On the front end this will appear for pages that have been translated:

Editing the Home Page

The settings for controlling the output for the homepage can be found under “Theme settings” in the admin menu. See video walk through below

Page Title Background images

Title backgrounds are controlled by either the page edit screen for normal pages or under theme settings for listing pages like the brands, news and products pages. See video below.

Editing the footer menu

There is a widget area set up for the footer area. Go to “Appearances >> Widgets >> Footer left area” to change which menus appear in the footer area.  To edit the menus themselves you go to “Appearances >> menus” and select the menu you would like to edit. I’ve already set up the site with three menus for the footer: Footer menu 1, Footer menu 2, and footer menu 3

Adding content along with translations for french

I’ve set up five different types of content for the site. Brands, Products, News & Media, Team Members and Pages.  All content can also be translated. See video instructions below:
